College

Off to college in less than 24 hours.

This is my last oppoturnity to shop till I drop.

And I may not blog this often anymore. So, to my avid readers (if there's any), please, don't cry. Haha.

When Suraya's hungry...

She doesn't care how she looks in the camera.

She also doesn't give a damn about table etiquettes.

The worst of all,

One plate is not enough for her.
And she looks ugly and greedy too. (Yerrr)

Therefore, moral of the story; Don't go on a date with Suraya when she's hungry. =.=

The Curse of A College Student To-Be

Bored. So bored.
Red spots on my face and my skin appears pink.
My nose is itchy and I've been sneezing for the past few hours.
Breakouts are everywhere on the forehead as though celebrating Spring season.
And I feel sick.

This is a curse.

The College Curse.

Untuk Mimie

When I was away few days ago, I managed to snap some photos for Mimie to drool. So, here they are;

Mee Goreng Mamak with Teh Ais (Me and Syaz are big fans of Teh Ais). And there's Chapati too behind that blue, plastic basket?

Nasi Kandar. (The shop was about to close when we came, so no sayur kobis)

Ikan Pari Asam Pedas with Ikan Merah Goreng and rice. (Yum!)

He he he. Syazana's just called. She's coming home this weekend. Woohoo!

And Happy 17th Birthday Intan! May God Bless You Always :)

Beats Me

I feel so bad.

No...

I'm supposed to be happy, should be jumping around like a kangaroo by now.

But I can't. I feel so bad.

Few weeks ago, I told my dad that the internet connection at KTT was very weak and yeaaa, I did make sarcastic remarks about how dreading my life would be, how I would be suffering to death, how I would be buta IT and how funny my face will look like when I do webcam.

So, today,

Surprisingly, my dad brought home this fantastic, hi-tech, wireless, small, functions like a thumbdrive, Celcom modem.

And it cost him Rm745.

I feel like smacking my head now. Rm745!!! just for easy internet access??! It's not that I don't appreciate it, I really love it so much indeed and I can't be grateful enough to have a very generous dad but come on, Rm745?? That's a hell lot of money!

Just imagine how many people out there would suffer real bad to get that amount of money per month, just to feed their family and there's me, complained about internet access in which I can actually live without.

So, moral of the story; Don't joke around with your dad.

***

Aisyah's gone.

Farhana's gone.

And now, Syazana's gone too.

Not to the underworld, but to college world.

And here I am, still stuck between two worlds; Home Sweet *coughlazycough* Home World and College world. And I don't have anyone to joke around with and be stupid with.

It's actually true you know when some people say, "Best friends are friends who you can grow stupid with". Of course, not literally stupid as in dumb, silly and have no idea what's the answer for 2+1 but stupid as in you can do stupid stuff together.

You crack stupid jokes, your best friends but no one else find it funny and actually laugh at it.

You fall into a drain, your best friends jump into the drain too so you won't feel embarass.

You tripple, your best friends will say, "It's not your fault, it's the floor!" so you won't feel bad.

You feel fat (and actually you are), your best friends will say, "Oh, it's not you, it's the clothes shrinking"

And last but not least,

When you feel like a catlady, lonely and beginning to hate human creatures and decided to grow old, single with a house smells like cats, your best friends too, are willing to grow old like that too.

(Well, we don't do the last point, we decided to marry a Prince or a rich eligible bachelor).

Well, even though, we're not together anymore like last time during high school days where we traded pirated vcds wrapped in Birthday wrappers so we won't get caught or we sneaked out during physics to buy candies (Oh, I forgot, I acted as the Watcher in class a.ka. too scared to sneak out), I hope we can still be the Fantastic *pathetic* Four forever. Hehe.

I better stop here or I'll be emo. *Sobs Sobs*

Surayas Theorem

The Basic Theory

Shitake mushroom = brown, pungent mushroom

The name, with Shitake ≠ 0,

Shitake = Shit_Take

Shit_Take = Take_Shit (Inverse function)

Take_Shit = Ambik Tahi

Ambik Tahi = brown, pungent mushroom

Hurmmm...

Ling Jun Mei (Btw, what am I supposed to call you? Ling?Jun?Mei?), since you told me yesterday that you haven't done your med check-up, let me show you the effect after taking the BLOOD TEST.

Brace yourself, because you might give it a second thought. Wait.....no, it's not second but third thought since that X-ray thing.

<-- This is basically what you'll get after a jab into your vein.

It doesn't look scary at all in pictures but as I told you yesterday, PICTURES CAN LIE because the real version is more bruised up like pembantu rumah kene dera.

Good Luck! :p

This one is for Mimie. I know you miss the food here.......hehehe.

So, taadaaa!

<------ Roti Canai Banjir and Teh Tarik.

By looking at it again, instead of trying to make Mimie jealous, I think, it's more like making her feel gross and probably don't want to eat Roti Canai again for the rest of her life.

Because it looks like a mass of cat's puke. =.=

I Want Him

Isn't he just hot? *wink wink*

Thanks Azri for sms-ing me about the error...Hehehe.

Now you know which guy that "I want" since 30 minutes ago this post was empty except the title, which at that time, people might have misconceptions about me being a desperado.

*Edited*

P.S. By the way Azri, I was almost diagnosed with Diabetes and yet, you still had the time to promote Wondermilk Cupcakes to me??! wtf. (Oppss, sorry mum, i ter-swear. Hehe)

The Result

Took results from Ampang Puteri yesterday.

Alhamdulillah, I'm medically fit though, there's a slight problem with my urine test.

There was a very little amount of glucose found in my urine. However, I'm still in the safe zone from Diabetes.

The Doc said, "Kalau tak jaga makan, nanti boleh kene diabetes ni."

However, I blame the teh tarik I had in the morning before the check up. The tea was really sweet, so, somehow it affected my urine, I guess.

P.S. I noticed that someone from Nashville visited my blog yesterday, I bet that visitor is Mimi, no? Don't worry Mimi, I'll write everything about Malaysia for you to read later. Especially the food. Ahahaha. You'll be foodsick (as in homesick) when you read it.

Rendang....Ayam masak merah......nasi kandar.......gulai tempoyak.....ikan patin lemak cili api (fuh!)........ikan tenggiri masak asam pedas........sambal belacan (fuh!fuh!)

well, enough of that, because I'm the one who feels hungry right now.

Badddddd X-ray

Medical check-up was terrible.

For first-timers, please listen carefully to what your radiographer has to say.

And please, I repeat, PLEASE, note the word ‘baju dalam’ especially the ‘dalam’ word because they (male radiographers) tend to whisper rather than say it clearly and out loud (Why can’t they just use the common word??Life would have been different if he used that )

What happened to me yesterday was embarrassing and I suspect, I was their main topic of the day.

I bet, this is what happened during their lunch in cafetaria;

Radiographer A :Hey, have you heard about the patient who................................

Radiographer B :Haha, I was there man! She must be one sengal girl. It's a wonder how she got JPA scholarship.

Here comes Mr. Radiographer with a big envelope in his hand. He had an evil smile pasted on his face.

Mr. Radiographer:Wey wey, wanna check out this X-ray?? *wink wink*

Radiographer B:Whoa, you saved it?

He nodded in a I-got-it-man way

Radiographer A: Ahhh, I always knew it's fun to be a radiographer.

And together, they viewed the X-ray and said;

"HAHAHAHAHAHAHHA! She made my day!"

Want to know why? Because my "pakaian dalam" was on the X-ray film too.

Hope, I won’t bump into you on this Monday, Mr. Radiographer. =.=

The Stalker

Oh, mamaku sendiri rupenye yang meng-stalk blogku selama ini. Aiseh. =.=

Stalker 48

I checked my feedjit today and found someone from Petaling Jaya searched for Suraya Sajoli on msn.com.

Who are you man? I demand you to reveal your mask and step forward with your true identity.

Even last time on Xanga, there was a reader typed funky_30790+xanga on Google search engine.

Was it YOU too? *half-paranoid*

Whoever this person is, serlahkanlah identitimu because you must be someone that I know too. (Though, I'm suspecting Ai and Far since they both are in IIUM PJ)

Anyway, to confirm there's only one Suraya Sajoli on this Earth, I googled, yahoo-ed and msn-ed myself and found this;

fhiuhghguihbnldfibnodfpgvndfv *ARGGHH!*

Suraya walked to the toilet, upstairs.

The Obnoxious-13(!!)-year-old- Sister, downstairs, watching tv.

"Ewwww! Ika!!! Danial!!! Who is so retarded to drop toothpaste into toiletbowl?!!" I yelled.

"Ermmm, hehe, Ika! Terjatuh larh!"

"Wtf~ go pick it up la!"

"I DON'T WANT. Gross~"

"Bloody hell! Who do you-"

"Su, Su kan kakak, you help her lar" Dad interrupted.

What the fuck? with the her shit and pee in there? I'm not khadam!

So, the question of the day is, who's gonna pick it up?! and Why on earth, I have a sis like this?! and Dad, why don't you help her instead???

Are all Malaysian women size 5?

Farhana has gone to IIUM to pursue her - well, undecided ambition, along with Aisyah Iman who is pretty decided to follow her father's step in doing Medicine.

So, what these two people have in common is, they both applied for the wrong course, which is, BioScience.

They thought it was like UM in which the BioScience includes medicine, dentistry and such. But ironically, IIUM BioScience has got nothing to do with those above but biotech. Hehe.

So, moral of the story; Please read PANDUAN PERMOHONAN carefully or whatever panduan you can find later on UPU website, juniors!

* * *

Here, I would like to express my dissatisfaction to Hospital Kuala Lumpur.

I woke up as early as 6 a.m. just to get my medical check-up done as fast as possible without spending the entire day, in the hospital with the high possibility of getting infections and such.

Yes, me and Syaz woke up very early with such sacred purpose but somehow ended in KLCC, eating McDonalds at 9.40 something a.m.

What happened before that (time stated is not 100% accurate),

6.40 - 7.26 Traffic-jammed (Syaz's mum sent us)

7.30 Arrived

7.30 - 7. 35 LOST somewhere in HKL in search for Wisma Kayu.

7.37 Found Wisma Kayu

8.00- 8.05 Was told by the receptionist that
a) HKL can only do urine test and i-forgot-what-test
b) The results of the above tests can only be received on 30th June
c) Full medical check-up can only be done on 24th June.

And by those dates, we're already in college. =.=

8.10 - 8. something LOST again in HKL to find the way out to the monorail.

8.15 - 8.35 After walking for almost 10 minutes, ended somewhere in ChowKit and found a monorail station jam-packed with human creatures.

8. 40 In taxi. An unplanned trip to KLCC.

9.10 At KLCC - Numb. Undecided. Hungry. angry too.

9. 16 At McDonalds. Ordered McEgg Muffin and hot coffee. Rm 4.20 forked out.

9. 24 - 9.40 Ate s-l-o-w-l-y. Enjoyed the KLCC view. Coffee talk with Syaz.....
t-i-c-k.......t-o-c-k.......t-i-c-k.......t-o-c-k......

10.30 SHOPS OPENED!

12.00 Home with empty hands.

Half day was wasted, because of YOU, HKL!

And I don't know what's up with shoe outlets in Malaysia, I've been to almost all affordable shoe outlets, to a certain extent, Bata, yet, the same 3 words I was told again and again is,

"Saiz habis, dik" or most of the time "Saiz habis, kak" *sigh*.

What the fur, man?

A Day In Bukit Bintang

Today was tiring.

Accompanied Farhana doing her shopping spree in Bukit Bintang for her college preparation.

We've been there since 11 in the morning till almost 6 in the evening. So, painful cracked heels, muscle cramps and headache are what we get by the end of our day.

Sg. Wang was more crowded than usual due to the special appearance of Ultraman Taro maskot that, to my utter surprise, had attracted a lot of fans of all ages, ranging from 4 years old to 40 years of age. Many people lined up from the main lobby stage until God-knows-where, just to take pictures with the 5 foot-something hideous maskot in a tight suit. However, I salute the man in that very, very tight suit because I know, it must be really hard to breathe in there. If that Ultraman was the real one as in the show, probably his blue heart might be blinking red light frantically.

Farhana searched for two items, leather shoes and deodorant. Even though, it was just 2 items, but it took almost half day to find those. We roamed the whole mall like cannibals in search for the perfect leather shoes and of course, the perfect deodorant. Farhana had troubles in finding the perfect size for her two very small feet. I wanted to suggest her kids' deparment but I knew, she would take it as an insult.

At last, after hopping from one shop to another, we went back to the second shop we visited and Farhana, at last, settled with a pair of petite Mary Jane shoes. She was happy and I was much much much happier.

I, on the other hand, bought Scholl's cracked heels mosturiser as my feet hurt real bad that time. Wanted to go home but Far'sis insisted us to do more window-shopping as she and her beau wanted to watch a movie.

Therefore, from SEED to cikai shops we went.

And I managed to buy a long cradigan for Rm40! What a bargain!

Though, my shopaholic syndrome is much worse than Farhana's. If those two items took Farhana almost half day, me, on the other hand, probably might take days to find the perfect towel as I've found none today and I'm supposed to buy a towel since last weekend.

Bukit Bintang in the evening was chaotic. At 5 on the dot, a large group of teenagers, whom I believe, have identitiy crisis and hormonal imbalance, gathered around at the empty space in front of Sg. Wang and Monorail station, wasting their time, shuffling as they called it, in finding their so-called inner peace and a sense of freedom.

The monorail station was jam-packed with human creatures trying to find their way home to their nests, so, we asked Far's sis's beau to give us a lift. And he said, no hal but soon, regretted saying that because he didn't just have to send the two sisters home in Taman Melawati but moi too, in Bukit Antarabangsa. And of course, must have taken him awhile to remember the recent sharp increase in petrol price.

Anyway, thank you so much for the ride! You've just saved us from being stepped to death by overzealous people in monorail. =)

See, I told you, Farhana was happy. ;p

P/S. Ahah! For the links on Blog Circles last time (Have just erased it). Don't get me wrong. I wasn't trying to stalk and blackmail you. I put it there so that I could remember your link as I'm a big fan of your blog and as shameful as to admit, I am a computer illiterate who has just discovered the use of 'Add to Favourites'.

A Day In Life

TodayTodayTodayToday...

What a wonderful day. The day was bright and sunny and I woke up with a burning sensation in my eyes due to long hours of chatting last night. Yet, the weather somehow, brought joy in me. Lalalalalalalala....marie had a little lamb, a little lamb, a little lamb..*Song Of Happiness*

Went for another brisk-walking with Syazana with a mission to snap a picture of X picking his nose so that we could blackmail him on YouTube. HarHarHarHar....monaymonaymonay *Song Of Evil*

But to no avail.

X was nowhere to be seen. Cis! Our rage made the sky went dark and there was a thunder behind us,and a storm about to come and hit X's house and destroy his greenhouse-like-porch which probably can be mistaken as a crack farm that we detest so much. Well, how I wish that happened! but non.

Since, there was no prey to attack, we just walked around the neighbourhood and talked...

and talked...

Till we stopped at a playground.

Suddenly, childhood memories hit us.

Oh! How I missed thou so much!

Swings, slides, see-saws and more swings.

The scenery was beautiful. Located on top of the hill over-viewing the hustle bustle of KL life. Though, the park itself remained peaceful and calmed. Not at all affected by the noisy town of KL.

The Pakistani guard stared at us from afar, probably thinking, what kind of action he must take if we snapped those swings. How can I ward off these two over-grown babies hei?

Though, the scary, mat salleh-probably-from-Bosnia-guard no longer works there which brought us both relief as his penetrating blue eyes scared us shitless.

We snapped pictures of ourselves, which I call it, The Human Sausage Resemblance.

That is, I present, The German Sausage Resemblance.

And this, erm........

The Malaysia Ramlee Sausage?

Well, that's all for today's entry. Haih, we grew up so fast.

The Suke-Suke Hati Recipe

In order to test my super power cooking skills, I decided to make mashed potatoes!
*power ka?*

So, let's start the show!

Basically, I cook without following any recipe because I find it very tedious (except baking). Therefore, I couldn't tell the measurements because when I cook, I simply don't measure (well, the actual reason is I suck at maths, and I'm a pro, so why bother to measure?).

So, bak kata Goh Wen Hon, agak-agak only la. Anyway, that's what cooking all about, isn't it?

Ok, these are the main ingredients for Mashed Potatoes with Oyster Sauce White Button Mushrooms or if it is translated into french, la purée de pommes de terre avec l'huître sauce les champignons blancs . Wah! I bet you this is the longest name for a dish in french cuisine history.Hehe.

First, of course lah, you have to wash those potatoes and peel it and slice it into cubes for even heating later.

Then, boil those pototoes .

While waiting it to boil; let's indulge into this!

Lalalalalalala....after finishing a tub of that, it's time to drain those potatoes (you can try poke a potato with a fork first),
Then....erm....what ah?

Oh ya! Place those potatoes into a bowl and sprinkle black peppers and salt. Not to forget, an adequate amount of milk (best if full-fat milk) and unsalted butter (the size of a matchbox is enough for 7 potatoes) too. Reminder : Milk and butter must be at room temperature.

Now, here comes the crucial part. Mashing those potatoes!! Some people say that this is a good way to release anger, rage, tension and so on. But I don't find it that way, instead, I had troubles to mash those potatoes because I don't have the perfect device like Nigella Lawson always has, therefore, I mashed it using;

Some people, they like to add heavy cream along with butter and milk but I find it too much and fattening nonetheless.

OK, next,

The Oyster Sauce White Button Mushrooms (haihh)

Wash those mushrooms, and chop it into small pieces.

Then, pour an adequate amount of olive oil into a saucepan and later, toss all those mushrooms into it with a tablespoon of oyster sauce and sautee it till it turns slightly brown. And don't forget to sprinkle some seasonings!

After you've done sautee-ing it, just mix it with the mashed potatoes or you can just put it on top of the mashed potatoes to act as the sauce.

The outcome result!! I also fried those potato skins because it's such a waste to throw it away. Actually, here is when I realised I didn't buy BBQ sauce to eat with it. =.=.

So, as a substitute, I used,

CHILLI SAUCE

And they are;

SAY WHAT?? SAY WHAT???

H.A.O.L.I.A.O!!!!!

Life Is Back To The Old Track

In a month or so, I predict that my life will return to its old routine; where studies are involved and for sure, my life will be more hectic and busy, trying to score excellent results for my A-level. *gulp*.

Even today, I've already started studying PHYSICS since I have to take physics for the course. *sobs*

Though it wasn't that bad. I thought I had no traces of Physics at all in my brain. Well, turned out, my brain cells did save some memories of it. Yeehaa!

I have to start studying now because I know Joanna is already on the go. If it was like driving a car, what she needs right now is to accelerate. I, on the other hand, am still trembling to find the key to start the engine. *Where's the key? where's the key?? Oh merde*
Hehehe.

* * *

OK, for some, they know how food-holic I am. I can't live without good food by my side. Exile me to a remote island, I'll die due to the lack of good food. *Death is probably an exageration since I can cook little, If Syazana, yes, she will die instantly. hehe*

However, what I want to say is, I went to Cold Storage yesterday and bought this; Waitrose Cloudy Lemonade! It's sparkling water with squeezed Mediterranean lemon juice! *jakun!*It's a perfect drink for lunch. Excellent to wash away your thirst on a hot summer day (well, almost everyday is like summer in Malaysia, that's why it's perfect for us). The price is reasonable, Rm 8 for 2 litres and it's imported all the way from UK and that explains well for the price =).

Another new drink that I've tried and I am pretty crazy about it is Shirley Temple. I first came to know it when I watched Nigella Lawson cooking show and one day I had lunch at Tony Roma's and they had Shirley Temple on their menu. So I ordered it.

What is Shirley Temple?

Basically, a Shirley Temple is a non-alcoholic mixed drink made with ginger ale , grenadine syrup, and orange juice and garnished with a maraschino cherry and a slice of lemon.
The taste is a bit tangy and have the taste similar to bubblegums (my personal opinion larh).

So for those who are seeking out for different drinks as an exchange to the usual Iced Lemon Tea (borrrriiingggg), you can try those instead. Simply refreshing!
